Abstract

PCB, p,p′-DDE and p,p′-DDT residue levels were measured in human milk from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Preliminary results indicate that the levels of p,p′-DDT and p,p′-DDE are higher in the former area, possibly because of the wider use of insecticide sprays in the past. It should be emphasized that because of the limited number of samples analyzed, further work must be done before a significant difference in these areas can be established. © 1974 Springer-Verlag New York Inc.
