Abstract

Este artigo estuda o impacto das imagens dos tupinambás, de Theodoro de Bry (século XVI), na pintura histórica do século XIX, mais especificamente na tela a óleo intitulada Nóbrega e seus companheiros, de 1843, obra do profesor de desenho anatômico da Academia Imperial de Belas Artes do Rio de Janeiro, Joaquim Corte Real.The article studies the impact of the Tupinambá images, by Theodoro de Bry's (XVI Century), in the historical painting of the XIX century, mainly in the canvas "Nóbrega e seus companheiros" (1843), painted by Joaquím Corte Real. Corte Real was an anatomical drawing professor of the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro.
