Abstract

Mentorship refers to the development of a relationship between a more experienced individual (the mentor) with a less experienced individual (the mentee or protégé). The role and expectations of the mentor in the development of the junior faculty member’s academic relationship is extremely important. As such, this chapter discusses the expectations of the mentor, mentee, and the mentor-mentee relationship.
