Abstract

This paper is an attempt to present a formal coherent framework for creative vis- ual thinking. First, fundamentals of creativity and creative thought are discussed. Then designer’s dialogue with graphical outputs based on the constructive percep- tion is analyzed. Constructive perception is defined as a composition of design ac- tions combining normal seeing with visual imagination. The proposed framework enables one to describe many fundamental aspects of the creative thinking in a formal way.
