National wild parks management, agricultural output, land evaluation, forestry, geology and mining, demographic data, health data with a spatial element and many other applications are becoming increasingly important for Africa, thereby boosting the need for planning tools like GIS and Remote Sensing. That this increased need demands good technical support for such new techniques is obvious and it is therefore interesting to examine how one supporting company is rooted in the East African spatial information sector.
