Abstract

Patient: This is a 32-year-old female soccer player, suffering of syncope of unknown origin. In the summer of 2001 she had a loss of consciousness while running (the heart rate was reported to be 155-160∈bpm). According to her teammates, she was not responding for 2-3∈min. The environment temperature was reported to be particularly warm, and general measures were done in the field; she also had infusion therapy, but no hospital admission was advised. © 2009 Springer-Verlag London.
