Pengaruh Fungsi Kelompok Terhadap Kemandirian Anggota pada Kelompok Tani Padi Organik di Paguyuban Al-Barokah Desa Ketapang, Kecamatan Susukan Kabupaten Semarang, Jawa Tengah

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of farmer’s group toward self reliance of organic farmers. The research was conducted at Paguyuban Al-Barokah Ketapang Village, Susukan district, Semarang regency, Central Java. The research location determined by purposive method with 109 respondents from four farmer’s group (Al-Barokah 3, Al-Mazroh, Sunan Ampel and Dewi Sri). Variabel of the function of farmer’s group were explained by indicator of learning activities, cooperation, production unit and business unit. Data was analysed by simple linear regression. The results showed that there was no significant effect betwen the function of farmer’s group and self reliance of organic farmers. The functions of farmer’s group as a learning activities, cooperation, productions unit and the business venture need to be enchanced. It need efforts from all stakeholders to improve farmers’s ability in organic farming management through improve the influence of farmers group. A participatory development approach needs to be brought in order to encourage the self relience of the farmers through increasing the participation in group activities. Keywords:
