Abstract

In this work we propose investigate attachment and proliferation behavior of the osteoblastic cell line MC3T3- E1 on Zr implants with different anodization treatments as surface modifications. To achieve the objective it is important count the number of cell nucleus three and five days after the cells were seeded over control and anodized samples. We presented an automatically method that combines different techniques for image processing. The algorithms used for analysis were implemented in a toolbox for Matlab, to facilitate reuse and distribution. The results showed an interesting relationship between cell differentiation and material surface.
