Abstract

The temperature T dependence of nonlinear dielectric susceptibility of relaxors χnl ferroelectrics is investigated to prove whether or not χnl(T) exhibit an anomaly related with freezing of the relaxation time spectrum. The shape, sign, and crystalline anisotropy of the relaxor are analyzed using a phenomenological approach. Nonlinear dielectric permittivity of PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3 (PMN) relaxor single crystals is also analyzed. results showed that there is no contrast for the anomaly in χnl(T) of PMN related with the freezing temperature.
