Abstract

This paper focuses on a strength analysis of the timber structure of Penglai Pavilion. A finite element model is developed to evaluate the dynamic characteristics and strength of the timber frame structure. Some constructive suggestions are presented to be a basis for strengthening the ancient timber Pavilion.
