Abstract

In this paper a connection of a width of a bottleneck and unidirectional virtual people flow by the SIgMA.CA pedestrian movement model (stochastic Cellular Automata model) is investigated. Specific and full flow rates for different model parameters, initial densities, and bottleneck width are presented and discussed. © 2012 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
