Abstract

This paper is the result of a teaching innovation project that aims to implement a commercial document management system for the administration of the technical drawings included in the projects that belong to the subject Technical Office of the Degree in Engineering in Industrial Design and Product Development. The main objective of this work is to ensure that students learn to work with a commercial PLM system, and make them able to manage the graphic documentation of their projects, reduce the duration of the project and face them with the problems that occur when using different versions of project documents. It is also considered an objective of this work to bring students closer to the reality they will encounter when they leave the labour market. Although the experience has been carried out in the subject of Technical Office and dealing with projects based on designs made with Inventor, its use is possible in other subjects of the area and even in subjects of other areas of knowledge. The software used is designed to manage any type of documentation that always accompanies a project.
