Abstract

Begins with brief descriptions of emotional and behavioral disorders that frequently emerge during early childhood, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder, anxiety disorders, autism, and internalizing and externalizing behavior. The following sections present an overview of psychosocial assessment models and diagnostic considerations, models, and treatment considerations in early identification of these disorders.
