Abstract

Woodfordia floribunda flowers secreted 126.4 pl of nectar in 3 days. Nectar-sugar concentration was 10.65-12.2 %. Only fructose and glucose were present in nectar as were analysed by paper chromatography and total sugars were 12.5 mg/flower. Apis dorsata, A. cerana indica, wasps, ants and flies visited the flowers for nectar.
