In the previous chapter, soccer heading simulations were performed and validated against the literature. It is evident that the FEA predictions of the linear and angular head accelerations were in a good agreement with the published experimental data of soccer heading. In this chapter, similar simulations were conducted, but with the inclusion of a headgear modelled on the forehead of the head model. The subsequent sections describe the methods and discuss the results obtained from the aforementioned FE simulations.
