Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate effects of the direction judgment of users, based on the arrow of directional sign at the station. For that purpose, we conducted an experiment with only "straight arrows" and "polygonal arrows" as the experiment elements of the space. As a result, in both of "straight arrows" and "polygonal arrows", the force of the downward indication was weaker than the upward one, and it was difficult to understand. Also, as for "straight arrows", it could be easy to confuse the direction of a plan indication and an elevation indication.
