Abstract

This study was done to explore the effects of video printer technology on young children's episodic memory. Five-year-old children were found to increase their memory of episodic events if they segmented the event into small units by video printer. But, seven-year-old children could not have any benefits of memory by using it. The discussion of these results will given on the topic of developmental differences of encoding strategies and the effects of video printer on memory. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2005.
