Abstract

The article presents the first part of a series of articles regarding the use of learning theories for the advancement of information literacy and teaching programs of Canadian health librarians. According to the article, learning theory with the aid of technological innovations serves as a teaching tool in an advanced blended approach. It also cites the five fundamental teaching skills of health librarians as well as the types of teaching approach. In addition, the author suggests that long-term planning of teaching as well as information and programs needed must be considered to achieve an effective teaching sessions.
