Abstract

The higher pad temperature is a familiar fault in the guide bearing of some hydraulic generator unit, which has seriously affected its normal operation. In order to find the reason for that a mathematical model of computing the pad temperature rise was established by considering some effect factors. A pad temperature distribution chart and the relationship between bearing preload factor and pad temperature rise were obtained by simulation computation. With the extensive application of computer, internet and database technology, new method of fault diagnosis in hydraulic generator unit appeared. Through the analysis of a real problem, it was confirmed that the simulation computation was reasonable. In addition, such a solution of bearing fault diagnosis is a certain degree of significance and has been a trend.
