Abstract

With the increasing rate of spine surgery being performed worldwide, the complexity of these surgeries is also increasing. This chapter reviews the types of procedures most at risk for significant blood loss and covers various options, surgical and anesthetic, which can be implemented to decrease that blood loss. © 2010 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
