Abstract

Gödel's acquaintance with Einstein led him to discover, by use of novel techniques, an exotic cosmological model which flouted many preconceived notions, such as the role of Mach's principle in general relativity and the nature of time. Gödel also invoked it in speculations concerning the question of minds. © 2007 IOP Publishing Ltd.
