Abstract

Welcome to the sixth edition of the Reconfigurable Architectures Workshop. The workshop features 3 contributed paper sessions, 1 poster session and 1 panel on the status of reconfigurable architectures and computing. The 14 contributed presentations and 8 posters were chosen from 34 submissions by the program committee. The papers were chosen to cover the active research work in both theoretical and industrial/practical sides. We hope that the workshop will provide the environment for interaction and exchange between the two sides. I would like to thank the organizing committee of IPPS/SPDP'99 for the opportunity to organize this workshop, the authors for their contributed manuscripts, and the program committee and referees for their effort in assessing the 34 submissions to the workshop. Finally I would like thank Viktor K. Prasanna for his tireless effort in getting all aspects of the workshop organization.
