This chapter describes our experiences over a five-year period of building and deploying a wearable system for automatically sensing, inferring, and logging a variety of physical activity. In this paper, we highlight some of the key findings resulting from the deployment of our system in 3-week and 3-month realworld field trials, which are framed in terms of system usability, adaptability, and credibility. 1
