The research concluded that there are a multitude of direct and indirect connections between the factors that resulted in long-term and short-term impact on urban change and public realm. An understanding of this nexus of factors constitutes an important and essential step in creating more comprehensive and responsive urban planning/design policies. Thus, mitigating any undesirable urban change and better governing the public realm during similar situations and pandemics in the future.
