Abstract

Blood flow evaluation of inflammatory and malignant disorders allows evaluation of the severity of the process by measuring the Doppler flows vessel density. Follow-up comparing the increase or decrease in vascular flow is a visual means of treatment outcome. Vessel morphology aids in distinguishing irregular, tortuous tumor vessels from dilated smoothly branching inflammatory arteries. 3D volumetric histogram of vessels quantitatively assesses aggressive potential and used as a surrogate tumor marker.
