Abstract

This paper presents a new digital video watermarking method based on chaotic scrambling and SVD. The proposed method combined the safe characters of the TD-ERCS chaotic system with the anti-geometric of the singular value decomposition (SVD). Firstly, select the embedded region in the luminance component of the video frame with the help of 2-dimensional chaotic sequence of watermark scrambling produced by TD-ERCS discrete chaotic system. Secondly, making the selected region into sub-blocks to make discrete wavelet transform and making SVD in the low-frequency parts. Finally, by modifying the largest singular value to embed the watermark information. The experimental results indicates that the algorithm is satisfying in performance, watermark can be taken out without the original video sequence, and it also has blind detectability as well as preferable robustness to the common geometric attacks. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.
