Abstract

(from the chapter) the question of whether the duration of a motor act can be programmed before execution was posed in a "precuing" paradigm, in which button presses of two different durations (700 and 2500 ms) had to be produced with the right or the left hand / present experiments were designed to demonstrate that duration is a specific and essential component of motor programs / both RT (reaction time) and electrophysiological data were used to address this issue
