Abstract

An initial characterization of the electrical properties of two types of base titanium oxide coatings deposited on two different types of substrates is presented. A capacitive/resistive response with an added semiconductor-like behavior was observed. This study provides insight into the electrical behavior of these coatings which can be modified in their composition for potential use in biosensors. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
