The author discusses his experience remotely leading via teleconferencing a team of volunteers from the Institute of Management Accountants charged with creating leadership-development materials. Commentary is presented on how team members were chosen, issues stemming from cultural differences that sometimes arose, and the importance of communication among team members outside of formal teleconferences.
