Abstract

Enterprise security management and the related daily work of the security management is greatly determined by the information technology and the enterprise specific context in which it is used. These effects are subject of other publications. In this paper influences from economy and society arc considered. It is shown that the security man- agement must actively deal with such extrinsic developments. As a result, security managers may modify the way information security is treated in their institution. There arc new topics dictated from outside the institution which need to be considered and integrated into security strategy and architecture. © 2009 Vieweg+Teubner | GWV Fachverlage GmbH, Wiesbaden.
