Abstract

A number of benign skin tumors are derived from keratinocytes of the epidermis or skin appendages. In this chapter, benign skin tumors with epidermal differentiation, are explored. Benign epidermal tumors are characterized by the expression of various cytokeratins. It should be noted that some epidermal tumors mentioned in this chapter are clinically and histologically homologous to epidermal nevi as well as various cornification disorders.
