Smart phone that can support mobile computing environment has been popular recently. A new robot application using smart phone is also interesting and feasible research topic at this moment in accordance with a fast growth of mobile internet environment. We also developed the proposed method using Microsoft's .Net Compact Framework and Bluetooth data communication to support various OS Platforms from Windows to CE kernel based Embedded OS. In experiment, we evaluated the feasibility and the effectiveness of the proposed method by showing a remote control of a mobile robot using G-Sensor in a smart phone, a line tracing robot application and its performance evaluation. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
