Abstract

Intracellular signaling pathways that couple growth factor activation with cell control offer new target sites for pharmacol. intervention in tumor therapy. Starting with the recognition motif of the SH2 domain of growth factor receptor-bound protein 2 (Grb2), the authors have initiated to identify agents that specifically disrupt the interaction between the activated EGF receptor and the SH2 domain of Grb2. In this communication, the authors report initial efforts. [on SciFinder(R)]
