Cancer-related pain can be difficult to treat in some cases, and clinicians need to be knowledgeable about new developments in analgesics and interventional approaches to pain management [1]. There have been few genuinely new drugs for the management of pain in the last decade; however, there have been new formulations and exploration of the optimum use of old drugs.
