Abstract

Introduction: Numerous incisional modalities are available for blepharoplasty. Those modalities which allow better hemostasis are superior. Materials: A cohort of 30 patients were treated with radiowave microneedle incision on one eye and CO2 laser incision on the other eye. The goal was to evaluate the postblepharoplasty surgical scar by blinded observers from multiple cosmetic specialties. Results: The observers’ information was analyzed and conformed with the null hypothesis in that the surgical scars were judged to be equal. Conclusion: Radiowave microneedle and CO2 laser both provide simultaneous incision with hemostasis. They perform equally in terms of the postoperative surgical scar.
