From Green Building to Green City: The Practice in Jiangsu Province, China

Abstract

This chapter focuses on Jiangsu’s experience in promoting green buildings and green eco-city, including green ecological special planning, policy mechanisms, fundraising, technical standards systems, and promotion. Taking the demonstration zones of Nanjing Hexi New Town as an example, the practical experience of the demonstration area in special planning guidance, policy mechanism formulation, green building development, and urban green infrastructure construction was introduced.
