Abstract

The learning resources used in teaching and learning process are highly important and so, are considered to be primary building blocks of the learning environment. This paper is devoted to propose a methodology to support and enhance adaptive access to the knowledge residing in a learning resource based on varying user contexts. In the proposed approach, user and learning resources are represented using ontology and fuzzy logic is employed to identify the knowledge level of the student to improve the adaptability of access to the learning resource. Experiment results show that this approach enhances adaptive access to the knowledge in learning resource. This proposed approach outperforms the baseline approach that uses ontology mapping.
