Abstract

Forensic Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) have been in use in certain laboratories since the 1980s, but the availability of commercial applications really took off in the mid 1990s. While some laboratories still do not use a LIMS, the vast majority of them have either purchased or developed software to manage casework.
