Abstract

The term quantum network (casually labeled quantum internet) refers to the networking of quantum information media via quantum channels. Quanta are generally understood to be physical objects that change their state into systems with discrete values of a physical quantity. The term “quantum” is often used for very small units of quantity, for example the smallest amount of light (light quanta = photons) or the smallest amount of energy (quanta of energy).
