Abstract

The acceptance region is the interval within the sampling distribution of the test statistic that is consistent with the null hypothesis H 0 from hypothesis testing. It is the complementary region to the rejection region. The acceptance region is associated with a probability 1 − α, where α is the significance level of the test.
