Abstract

Factors which contribute to air temperature changes within the recent period and between the ice age, the Holocene and the recent period, are considered. The main factors controlling recent low latitude free air temperatures are sea surface temperature changes and volcanic activity. The longer time scale temperature changes which in turn are driven by changes in the middle latitude circulation.-from Authors
