During neuroinfl ammatory or neurodegenerative diseases, it is often critical to characterize the composition of infiltrating immune cells. This protocol describes a reliable, fast, and simple method for the isolation of leukocytes from murine central nervous system (CNS) during steady state or inflammation for analysis by flow cytometry or other techniques.
