Abstract

In this study, the computer aided modeling and optimization was used to select agronomic scheme of high yield and high net profit for a single-season late rice hybrid ‘Yongyou 17’. A field experiment with three agronomic factors including seedling age, planting density, pure N fertilizer rate were performed and the data were used to construct regression models using yield and net profit as the objective variables. Simulation of those models produced the optimum schemes consisting of seedling age, planting density and pure N fertilizer rate to achieve the highest yield and net profit.
