Video games have been widely used in the teaching-learning process for the most diverse educational contents. There is an increasing amount of study and development of educational games with positive results, however these games are almost always developed focusing on hearing people. If the Deaf teachers themselves, who know the curriculum and the teaching methodologies, have the facility to create educational games for their students, this scenario of scarcity can be overcome. This paper presents an authoring tool, based on a conceptual framework, which enables the construction of educational games for Deaf children in early childhood, a crucial phase in the linguistic development of the person. The games that can be generated through the tool present educational content relevant to the age range of the target audience. The instructional content to be included are of the author’s choice and are presented in the Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) and in Portuguese. In order to demonstrate the functionality of the tool, an educational adventure video game is generated from it and evaluated by specialists in an experiment.
