Equality and Family Policy in International Perspective: Toward a Feminist Theory of the State

Abstract

Presents comparative case studies of family policy in GB, Canada, & the US to explain how governments utilize family policies to maintain patriarchal systems & to promote labor force & economic goals. Ways in which equality/difference theories are applied in family policy are examined.
