Abstract

This study focuses on the contribution of the intelligent model-based engineering and construction process in improving electrical construction industry, as opposed to any specific BIM related product. The study aims to provide a better understanding of the state of practice of BIM in the electrical contracting industry. Data has been collected from surveys sent to the electrical contracting industry to counter the skeptical views about the actual benefits of BIM.
