Abstract

Kidney transplant is a major operation that significantly impacts patients' lives. In order for success, the medical course is precise. Knowledge of a comprehensive list of possible outcomes allows the medical team to predict and prevent complications and to prepare patients' expectations. This chapter details those preoperative factors that contribute to outcomes, the transplant course, and the postoperative complications that can occur.
