Abstract

The field of precision medicine is emergent and altering at a very growing pace. As the immense scope of initiative programs are currently underway or scheduled in the field of precision medicine in many countries, we aimed to scrutinize the worldwide programs and projects in detail. A vast number of public and private funded initiatives have been started or are currently underway regarding various aspects of precision medicine, including data sharing and legal and information privacy. However, many challenges still exist in this field. Although we were not able to fully cover all running activities in this short chapter, we made the most effort to at least give a snapshot of ongoing projects and also to cover their benefits besides strengths and weaknesses.
