Abstract

The development of management information system (MIS) in schools is one of the efforts to improve education services. The theory underlying this research are theories related to education management information system, the concept of development of management information system model and education service concept. The purpose of this study is to facilitate the school and parents in the utilization of information technology, as well as to find out what products or services needed by the school and parents in the development model of education management information system in Pilar Bangsa School. The method used in this research is the method of Research and Development (R & D) but is limited to the stage of model development, using descriptive qualitative approach is research that produces descriptive data in the form of words written or spoken words of some people and observable behavior. From the development of the model that has been implemented, this research produces an application product Management Information System of Pilar Bangsa School. Once tested, this product runs well on Android Smartphone. From the research that has been carried out can be drawn the conclusion that the information system used by the school is still conventional. While in the administration of school administration files already using the computer but in inputting process still manual, therefore required a computer-based application program or android in the management, so as to improve efficiency and services to parents.
