Abstract

An extracellular, sulfated polysaccharide was isolated from a marine strain of Pseudomonas, designated MIL-1, which was originally isolated from the green algae Codium fragile. The structure of this polysaccharide was determined by means of XH NMR analysis, methylation, and periodate oxidation. The polysaccharide has the following structure. © 1993, The Japanese Society of Fisheries Science. All rights reserved.
